Dental implant options — Port St. Lucie & Vero Beach, FL

Your options for a better smile

From a single missing tooth to a full arch, there is more than one way to replace teeth. Here’s how each option compares — so you can walk into your consultation already knowing the questions to ask.

A complete transformation starts with honest questions

When did you last smile in a photo without thinking about it? Order a steak without checking the menu for something soft? Go a whole week without a sore spot or a loose tooth?

Failing and missing teeth wear on you physically and emotionally. The good news is that the solutions have never been better — from removable dentures that cost less up front to fixed, full-mouth implant bridges that feel like your own teeth.

There’s no single right answer for everyone. The best plan depends on your bone, your health, how you want to live and your budget. Our job is to lay out the options clearly and let you decide.

Comparing full-arch options side by side

If you’re missing most or all of your teeth — or about to lose them — these are the four main paths. The two fixed options are the ones most of our patients choose.

Which option fits your situation?

Start with what’s happening in your mouth today. Each of these can often be completed with same-day teeth.

One missing tooth

A single implant replaces the root, and a custom crown sits on top. Nothing is done to the teeth on either side, and the implant keeps the bone in that spot healthy. Once healed, nobody will know which tooth it is.

Best for: a lost or cracked tooth with healthy neighbours.

Several missing teeth in a row

Two implants can carry a three- or four-tooth bridge — no grinding down healthy teeth as a traditional bridge requires. It’s a stable, long-lasting fix for a gap that makes chewing on one side hard.

Best for: two or more adjacent missing teeth.

A full arch — fixed

Four to six strategically placed implants carry a complete bridge of teeth that never comes out. Choose an All-on-4® foundation and a zirconia bridge for the strongest, most natural result.

Best for: failing teeth, or anyone done with dentures.

A full arch — removable

An implant-supported overdenture snaps onto two to four implants. It’s far more secure than a regular denture, costs less than a fixed bridge and can be converted to fixed teeth later.

Best for: current denture wearers on a tighter budget.

After: full set of natural-looking implant teeth
Before: several missing and worn teeth

Our patients tell the story best

Retirees, business owners, grandparents — people from Sebastian to Stuart who decided they were done hiding their smiles.

Donna smiling in the Implantello clinic hallway

For years I cropped myself out of every family photo. Now my granddaughter tells me to stop smiling so much. I never invested in myself before — this was the best money I have ever spent.

Ray at a marina in Jensen Beach

I was losing a tooth every few months and living on soup. I came in on a Tuesday with a mouth full of problems and drove home the same evening with fixed teeth. First thing I ate the next week was a grouper sandwich.

Two other offices told me I didn’t have enough bone. Dr. Planes showed me my 3D scan, explained exactly where the implants could go, and never once rushed me. Physically, I just feel better.

Marisol smiling outdoors in Port St. Lucie

I was terrified of dentists. With IV sedation I remember checking in and then waking up with teeth. The team called me that night and again the next morning to see how I was doing.

My lower denture floated around every time I talked. Four implants later it snaps in and stays put. I wish somebody had told me ten years ago this was an option.

Invest in your quality of life

Implants cost more up front than dentures — and give you far more back. Not having insurance coverage doesn’t put them out of reach.

A financial coordinator walks you through monthly payment plans from our patient-financing partners and helps with the application, which takes minutes. Many patients get a decision the same day.

All dental implant questions
What are full mouth dental implants?

Full mouth dental implants replace an entire arch of missing or failing teeth with a fixed bridge that is screwed onto implants in your jawbone. Unlike a denture, the bridge doesn’t rest on your gums, doesn’t cover the roof of your mouth and isn’t taken out at night — only your dental team can remove it.

What is All-on-4®?

All-on-4® is a technique for anchoring a complete arch of teeth on four implants. The two back implants are tilted to make the most of the bone you have, which is why many patients can skip bone grafting. Some patients need five or six implants for extra support; your 3D scan tells us which is right for you.

Am I a candidate for dental implants?

Most adults who are missing several or all of their teeth are candidates — including many people who have worn dentures for years or were told they lack bone. You need to be healthy enough for a minor oral surgery, and conditions such as diabetes or a smoking habit simply need to be planned for. A consultation with a 3D scan gives you a definite answer.

What’s the difference between All-on-4® and full-arch zirconia?

All-on-4® describes how the arch is anchored — on four strategically placed implants. Zirconia describes what the final teeth are made of. Many patients have both: an All-on-4® foundation with a zirconia bridge on top.

How much do full mouth dental implants cost?

The fee depends on whether you’re treating one arch or both, the number of implants, extractions or grafting, and whether your final bridge is zirconia or acrylic. After your free consultation you receive a written, all-inclusive fee, and most patients choose a monthly payment plan. See Cost & Compare for typical ranges.

How long do dental implants last?

With good home care and professional cleanings, the implants themselves can last decades — often a lifetime. The teeth attached to them experience normal wear; a zirconia bridge typically lasts many years longer than acrylic before it needs attention.
